We had the most lovely evening at Oda Omakase! Both the sushi chef and pastry chef did a great job accommodating the allergies we told them ahead of time when booking the reservation. The quality was truly mind blowing - and I went to Japan earlier this year! Never liked uni or scallops before coming here. The flavors were interesting while remaining focused on the fish itself. We didn’t realize it was BYOB before we got there, so I recommend bringing some fabulous wine!

We absolutely loved Oda Omakase. The whole experience was special. There are only a handful of guests at either a 6pm seating or 8pm (which we appreciated vs other Omakase experiences that rush you out in an hour). Every course was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. Fish flown in from Japan. The flavors of every dish were creative and exquisite. Husband (chef) and wife (pastry chef) team so you know the desserts were devine. It genuinely felt like a Michelin-level experience. Such an exciting addition to Jersey City. Did I mention it’s also BYOB? We’ll absolutely be back.

Very intimate dining area with omakase counter. Love interacting with 2 chefs!! Food is fantastic and fresh. Desserts are awesome! Worth everysingle penny you spend! Will definitely go back!

In the same week that we went to Sushi Nakazawa and got the $200+ Chef's Omakase we went to Oda. And Oda SHINED. Dont't get me wrong, Sushi Nakazawa had some of the best sushi I have ever had, but Oda's Nigiri easily held its own against it while adding in small dishes that I have never experienced before. The dressing for the cauliflower dish?! The white fish citrus course?? THE SCALOP NGIRI?!? For $100 less and run by two experiences chefs who want to make it on their own because they love what they do, not some business investor getting rich on the hard work of others. I think they even can accomodate dietary restrictions if you give them a heads up (UNHEARD OF FOR OMAKASE) 10/10 would reccomend, you will not get a better experience at this price point. Make the reservation today, you wont regret it. (TLDR: I hate dessert and even the dessert had me slapping the table like a dad in a sitcom. Great food. Owners are insanely talented and kind. Go there now.)

A must try experience! Each dish is delicious, flavorful and fresh. You can bring your own bottle which makes it even better. It’s also entertaining to watch the chef in action. You can tell everything was prepared to perfection, Definitely worth it!!
